What Do You Really Want?

If I can have everyone's attention for just a moment. I would like to ask every member here a few simple questions:"

  1. What do you really want from CLM?
  2. What will bring you back to CLM?
  3. What do you anticipate or hope for in CLM?

*Please answer any or all 3 of these questions in the comments area below.

Helping us answer these basic questions will help us build a better community for you.

Thank you very much and God bless!

  • The same things I want from all social media the ability to unite & organize people without any unnesasarry outside interferance

  • In general, if a Christian forum has activity it is mostly squabbling about interpretations. If there is no squabbling it is because there is little activity. I have seen this trend on many forums.

There is little hope to overcome the squabbling because most of us learned our faith from some beloved person and we are ready to fight if someone suggests another interpretation.

I have observed this for many years before I realized that the lord never asked anybody to be a soldier in his army, at least not yet. He commanded his followers to love one another.

2 Corinthians 5:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Ambassadors, not doctrine cops. God asks His people to preach the gospel, not to persuade anybody to believe it. That is because after you preach to someone, they can be judged. The word of God always causes division: it divides believers from unbelievers.

    • There is a good amount of division bteween believers as well.   But as you say contention drives conversation the most.

  • I am not as convinced that all scripture is God-Breathed anymore, so I am not welcome on some discussion forums.  Perhaps you can have a forum where I am not banned?

    • You are not banned here. As long as you stay civil, keep our rules, and strive to express your love for our Lord in your postings I wouldn't worry about being "banned".

    • I agree that the software does not promote a feeling of community. The main page leads to a jumble, no way to follow a thread.

        • That's what I mean by "jumble". I am pretty smart, but I still have not figured out how to get along with this software. At any other forum you get a list of topics in chronological order and clicking on one takes you to the first unread post in that topic.

  • 1.  Freedom to express the scripture of truth freely in Christian charity (1 Cor. 13).

    2.  See 1.

    3.  I hope to experience 1.
