The Adventures of Robin

Yesterday we visited a farm that made home-made ice-cream, the place is famous and has other attractions, but is famous for their ice-cream most of all.  We bought ices and cream teas (a pot of tea, a scone, strawberry jam and a pot of clotted cream) and whilst we sat at the picnic table eating and drinking we watched the many birds.  Of course they were after the crumbs and this little robin was so tame that it came and perched on our table.  We soon realised that the Robin was feeding its fledgling.

  • The robin grabbed every crumb we offered and although it ate some, most of it was taken off to its young chick.
