  Tori, I have listed sites that may be helpful here. I am currently reading Kingdom Marriage by Tony Evans. It is the best resource of marriage that I have read. I encourage you if possible to ask your husband if he would be willing to read it with you. Praying for you.

  While I am no longer married because of being a widow, I was married for almost 26 years. I think that first year is one of so many adjustments. I would encourage you to be seeking God, together and individually. Praying, Reading, Obeying, Praising. Truly seeking Him. He is the ONE who can bring restoration, unity and much more to the marriage. YOU CAN NOT FIX YOUR HUSBAND!!! Us females have a strong inclination to wanting to control and fix and well, that is not our roles as wives. I'd be happy to chat anytime.

  First time I've talked about the rift my husband has created by his unfaithfulness. We are together but I'm still battling what happened in my mind. He thinks I should let it go. That's easier said than done. He admitted to it but I was never told anything more than that. Don't know if I really want the details.

  I know it's very hard to get out of a situation where your husband hits you,but it's not good for you to stay right where you're being hit. Can you point out to him in the Bible how he is to love his wife as himself? In Colossians Chapter 4 verse 19 it says:"Husbands, love your wives, and do not be embittered against them" For yourself, check out Proverb 12:4 "An excellent wife is the crown of her husband" and then, study (for both of you) all of 1 Peter Chapter 3 on submission in marriage and love.
