I CAN ONLY IMAGINE

Yesterday Evening at Church, there was a Movie shown. If you haven't seen it yet,it's a must see. The song. by MercyMe, is actually all about the life of the singer, Bart Millard.
This young man, was taken to a Christian Bible Camp one summer, by his Mother, who left him, abandonment hurts. His Father was abusive, and this is as far as I'm going on this. You'll need to watch the movie to get the whole story.

After I watched the movie, and before closing my eyes in sleep, I had a little talk with the Lord.

I told Him, Lord I can only imagine my self, what it will be like, when I meet you face to face. What will it be like? What will I do, when I see your face for the first time? Will I be dancing, will I be singing? Will my heart burst with joy at seeing you? Will I be happy, joyful? I don't know Lord, but I can only imagine.

He responded back to me, concerning my oldest and youngest child, who left behind their Christian Faith, and are now embracing Atheism. And I realized this morning, the reason why.
Their life wasn't easy. They were horribly abused by my ex/late husband, Step Father to my oldest (Daughter), and Father to my youngest (son).
They may have thought they had forgiven him, but no, they haven't. They may think they are true Atheist, but they're not. Not really.

They are still holding on to their anger. They haven't let go of it. They did not lay it at the feet of the one, who died in their place. Though he (my ex) has died, they can still forgive, but will they? I don't know. All I can do is pray, and hopefully they read this.

My dear children:

Your lives were horrible, devestating, and hurtful. Anger has overpowered your lives. Jesus took your sins upon the cross, when He died for you. Now, Jesus would like for you, to take all that pain, all that anger, and lay it at His feet. He will tromp on it. He will turn it to powder under his feet. He will lift you up once more. He has not let go of you, He's still holding on.

He;'s wanting you both to start a journal. Write down every thing that makes you angry. Your life story, may not have been a good one, but through your writing, it can be beautiful.
At the beginning of the Journal, on the very first page, Write these words: I FORGIVE YOU.......

You don't need to put down the name or names, that will come later, when you are truly ready to forgive.

I wish I could carry all that hurt, that pain, that anger, that you both feel, but I can't. I'm not perfect, and never will be, until the Lord has finished His work in me, and I finally see Him face to face.
Just know, that I love you all, more than my life. The Lord is there, He will always be there. He's waiting for your return. He wants to fill your heart with His Blessings once more. All you need to do is:

LET GO, AND LET GOD.
