And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. Finished! I will be starting a new one on Monday. It will be on the Power of God.
Here are the verses:
Ezra 1:2-3: "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. 'Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
Ezra 6:3-5: "In the first year of King Cyrus, Cyrus the king issued a decree: 'Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the temple, the place where sacrifices are offered, be rebuilt and let its foundations be retained, its height being 60 cubits and its width 60 cubits; with three layers of huge stones and one layer of timbers. And let the cost be paid from the royal treasury. 'Also let the gold and silver utensils of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be returned and brought to their places in the temple in Jerusalem; and you shall put them in the house of God.'
Ezra 3:10-11: Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD according to the directions of King David of Israel. They sang, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, saying, "For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever." And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Ezra 4:24: Then work on the house of God in Jerusalem ceased, and it was stopped until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
Ezra 5:2-5: then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them supporting them.
At that time Tattenai, the governor of the province beyond the River, and Shethar-bozenai and their colleagues came to them and spoke to them thus, “Who issued you a decree to rebuild this temple and to finish this structure?” Then we told them accordingly what the names of the men were who were reconstructing this building. But the eye of their God was on the elders of the Jews, and they did not stop them until a report could come to Darius, and then a written reply be returned concerning it.
Ezra 5:8: "Let it be known to the king that we have gone to the province of Judah, to the house of the great God, which is being built with huge stones, and beams are being laid in the walls; and this work is going on with great care and is succeeding in their hands.
Ezra 6:14-15: And the elders of the Jews were successful in building through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo And they finished building according to the command of the God of Israel and the decree of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. This temple was completed on the third day of the month Adar; it was the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.
Ezra 4:1: Now when the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the people of the exile were building a temple to the LORD God of Israel,
Nehemiah 6:10: When I entered the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah, son of Mehetabel, who was confined at home, he said, "Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us close the doors of the temple, for they are coming to kill you, and they are coming to kill you at night."
Daniel 8:14: He said to me, "For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the holy place will be properly restored."
(Danial even tells of the time, that the Anti-Christ moves in to it: 9:27: And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”)
Zechariah 6:12: "Then say to him, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Behold, a man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the temple of the LORD.
Zechariah 6:13: "Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the LORD, and He who will bear the honor and sit and rule on His throne Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices."'
Zechariah 6:15: "Those who are far off will come and build the temple of the LORD " Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you And it will take place if you completely obey the LORD your God.
Zechariah 8:9: "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets, those who spoke in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, to the end that the temple might be built.

Mark 15:29: Those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads, and saying, "Ha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,
(These New Testament verses are telling us about Jesus, and the Temple He was talking about? Himself, the Temple which would be raised in 3 days.)
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4: Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
Revelation 11:1-2: Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.
Destroying of the third Temple: 6th Seal (of Terror)
Revelation 6:12-17: I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Then the kings ofthe earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they *said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
I know, it's long, just take your time reading it.
I've been reading a post, that I was in agreement with, and in some ways, I'm still in agreement with. Yet, the Holy Spirit has spoken to me, and has told me that, yes a new (third) Temple will be built. So I got to googling, and found verses concerning the new Temple. So, I'm going to do this study today, and finish off my other study tomorrow. Here we go:
The first Temple was built by Soloman and destroyed in 586 B.C. The second Temple was built in 516 B.C. and destroyed in 70 A.D. The third Temple will be built and will exist through the Great Tribulation.
It is mentioned throughout the Bible. The verses will be posted in part 2 of this post.
The Anti-Christ will be using this Temple. And this rises the question when will this Temple be built? It doesn't say.
One obstacle of it's being built, is that it's to be built where the other two temples were built, but no one is sure of the exact spot where the other two temples were built.
The second obstacle is the attitude of the Jewish people and their leader. And it's a possibility that the other two temples were NOT built at the location where the Dome of the Rock currently sits, but there is strong evidence that it was to the north of Dome of the Rock.
There IS going to be a third Temple. It will more likely be in the form of a Tent (Temple), and will be erected at the beginning of the Tribulation. A more permanent Temple will be built around and above the tent.
The third Temple will be destroyed at the second coming of Jesus. The great earthquake at that time will change the topography of Jerusalem. This will result in provision of a very large level area on which the Millennial Temple will be built. This is the Temple in which Jesus will rule over all the earth.
Part 2 next.
