Tell Us About Yourself
44 Year old Army veteran, married for 18 years, 19 in February. Father of a 10 year old boy. I'm a phlebotomist in my local hospital and Lord willing, I'll be starting school for my Assoc. in Radiology next August. My family attends First Baptist Church of Mexico in Maine.
I received the Lord as my Saviour when I was eight years old. The church that I was going to was not a discipling church, just evangelical and I was not taught what to do next. So I shuffled through the next 17 years trying to make sense of my experience when I met my wife, the daughter of a Baptist pastor that was currently in Jamaica as a missionary. Without going through a big 'ol story, we git married after a lot of tribulation and I got to meet her parents. Now suffice it to say that April and I were not looking for the Lord's guidance or blessing in our lives due to some of life's stumbling stones that we allowed to get in our way. I praise God for the in-laws that He put in my life. Immediately, my mother-in-law reminded me that the confession that I made when I was 8 sealed my salvation forever, and that there was nothing that I could have done that could've taken that away from me. How amazing is our Father that; He knew that even after we received Him as our saviour and King, that we would still return to our vomit and if possible lose our salvation and made sure that we would not lose our salvation and gave us provision to come back to Him every time we need. 8 years after we got married, God saw the maturation that had grown in our relationship and gave April the grace to finally accept that she could be a mother; that was 10 years ago and we have been blessed with the most amazing God fearing and loving young man. God has richly blessed us with church friends and a supportive family. I do so love how our Father takes care of us.
