This new study, though I was going to do it in the Common English Version of the Bible, I was led to keep the verses as they are. This sudy, though it says it uses all translations of the Bible, I'm seeing the New American Standard Bible, and I'm stayig with it. The URL, that I'm getting this sudy from: bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God,-Glory-Of
I will be posting this again, at the end of the study. Here we go now:
Psalm 29:3: The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; The God of glory thunders, The LORD is over many waters.

"The LORD thundered from heaven, And the Most High Uttered His voice." "And He sent out arrows and scattered them, LKightening, and routed them." "Then the channels of the sea appeared, Thefoundations of the world were laid bare By the rebuke of the LORD, At the blast of the breath of His Nostrils." "He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters." "He deliered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, for the were too strog for me."
So often we don’t take advantage of the Grace that gives us access to the Throne room of God as it is stated, “Come boldly into the Throne Room” - Heb. 4:16. We can have an audience with God not only as Sovereign but as our Father. A special dispensation for all who clamor for more than serving a higher authority for which God has given us an open door anytime we desire to.
I have had responses of my study, that were pro, and con. The Pro says no, you can't lose your Salvation. The Con says you can.
What I say: PRO:
I'm with the study. Time, after time, after time, it speaks loud and clear. What God has given you (Your Salvation), He will not take away. It is yours to keep. The Holy Spirit is with you. The Holy Spirit, will convict you of wrong doing (you may call that conviction a guilty conscience), and you ask for forgiveness. Your Salvation is intact. There is just no way, that what has been given by God, will not be taken away.
Did, at a time of sadness, ask God for forgiveness of sin, and asked Jesus to come into your heart? Did changes start to come about in you? Changes that you had nothing to do with, they just happened? That is in response to the Salvation you received from God. Jesus, who entered in to your heart, has made, and is still making, those changes. You have given Him control of your life.
Did you, upon a decision to go to church, and the minister asks if anyone here today, want Jesus to come into their hearts, and you respond with a yes? You go up and asked Jesus to come into your heart, attend church for a few weeks, and then quit going? You just continue on, the way you've always been? I'm sorry, but.....you did NOT receive Salvation. You did not ask for forgiveness, you just asked Jesus to come into your heart, but you really didn't want Him to come in. He never. You enjoy the things of the world too much, and enjoy the things you do.
Again, I say, You can't lose your Salvation. You can't, because God will not take back from you what He has given.
What I say: CON:
There is a way, on the other hand, that a person no longer has their Salvation. It's not because it was taken away, but they no longer have it.
Let me give you three stories:
1. A boy, asked forgiveness, accepted Jesus as his Savior, grows up and at 15 pretty much moves out on his own because of the home situation (a very abusive father, a Mom working hard to support the children, since father refuses to pay the bills, or buy the groceries, since he spends his money on others, who attends church, taking the children to church with her. The boy, at 15 also quits going to church, starts hanging with friends, who are drug addicts, and he becomes addicted himself. At 20 he decides to clean up his act, but still does not attend church. Years down the line, he finds out that he's a Father of 2 children, both of them girls, and young adults. Still doesn't attend church. Finally admits, "I don't believe in God, but he believes in a higher power. And the Salvation that was given to him, all those years ago? He no longer has. No, it was not taken away. It wasthrown away.
2. A girl, 7 years older than him. At the age of 4 she was raped by her step-father, when her Mother was at the hospital, giving birth to her sister. A month later she turns 5. Mother never knew what had happened to her. The boy above, was her younger brother. She was active in the Church, sang in the choir, was in the youth group. As she got older, she still attended church, got married, but.....Husband and her were divorced a couple of years later, when she found out that he'd been cheating on her, with her best friend. Signs of depression started showing up, and she quit church. Finally, she gets help for her Chronic Depression, and is receiving disability. While in a long term facility, she meets her second husband. He's also dealing with depression. They are both Bi-Polar. She gets married a second time, is still married. They were married a year, and heleft, after threatening to kill her. They've been married close to 18 years now. Still does not attend church. She turns 50 years old, and proclaims she's now an Atheist. She lost her Salvation, again, by throwing it away.
3. There's a professional singer. He sings Gospel Music, both Wohsip and Praise, and also Country Gospel. A few years ago, he announced that he was gay. His annoucement showed that he threw away his Salvation.
The thing with the three, is....though they threw it away, Jesus has not let go of them, they let go of Him. And.....they can receive their Salvation back, if they would just tell God they're sorry, and want Jesus to come back into their hearts.
Whether they do or not, it's up to them. All anyone can do, is pray for them. I know those first two pretty well. I've known them from the very second they were born. My oldest Daughter, and my Son.
Today, is an in and out, alog with the weekend. My husband Gary, is not feeling too well. He sprained a foot, and is in pain, and I will be his nurse today, and play with Friskie, to keep him contented. He's a good little boy, but get's so sad, if there's no one to play with him. Gary usually does the playing, but is not feeling up to it today. You all have a beautiful weekend!
Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
This is the touching story of how Yeshua (Jesus) was anointed before His crucifixion. But there's one thing about this passaage that stood out to me as I read it again. Yeshua was not anointed with ointment until the box of alabaster was broken! In the the same way, we must be broken before the Lord so that His anointing can be poured out upon us to touch others!
We should never be ashamed to be broken. God will not deny a broken heart and a contrite spirit! When we humble ourselves in His sight and place our pride on the altar of sacrifice, it is then that God’s anointing will be greatest upon us. It will pour out of us like the ointment from that box -- and we will be used greatly for His kingdom!
Let's ask the Lord to break us where we need to be broken this week so that we might be anointed completely to do the great things He's called us to do!
